In confined spaces with no line of sight, working with remotely operated vehicles can be very challenging or impossible. In the case of in-tank cleaning, inspection and maintenance this challenge has been addressed together with DOW Chemicals that have to deal with no-man entry operations on a regular basis.

De Solution

In the developed proposition, several sensors are used to compose a real-time 3D representation of the environment. This is presented to the operator for a full overview of the surroundings.
